There’s something truly special about watching the wonder of Christmas through a child’s eyes. The Magic of Christmas collection was perfect for documenting these sweet moments of Finn and his sister discovering all the sights and sounds of the season!

I started this page with the laser-cut borders — aren’t those candy swirls and lights just adorable? They add so much movement and sparkle to the layout. The plaid and evergreen papers from the collection blend traditional colors with just the right amount of whimsy, giving the photos a warm and cozy backdrop.
I especially love how Finn’s smile lights up the page — he’s fully embraced the Christmas spirit this year! The journaling at the bottom sums it up perfectly: watching these two enjoy the season together brings all the magic to life.
Whether you’re scrapping visits to the tree lot, trimming the tree, or cozy family memories, The Magic of Christmas collection will help you wrap up every story in festive cheer. 🎄✨
Here are the directions so you can recreate this page:
Step 1: Use Bright White cardstock for the base of the layout.
Step 2: Cut a 12″ x 4″ piece of the pine branches designer paper. Adhere 2-1/2″ from the bottom.
Step 3: Cut a 12″ x 3″ piece of Christmas plaid designer paper. Adhere above the pine branches.
Step 4: Cut (2) 12″ x 1/8″ pieces of pretty bows designer paper. Place one above the Christmas plaid and one below the pine branches. Using small, consistent pieces like this ties all the pieces together and gives the layout a cohesive, polished look.
Step 5: Cut (4) 1″ x 2″ pieces of Golden Stars paper. Dovetail the bottom edges and adhere slightly apart starting 1″ from left edge.
Step 6: Cut (2) 4″ x 6″ cranberry cardstock photo mats. Then, cut (2) 3‑5/8″ x 5‑5/8″ bright white pieces and layer on top of the cranberry cardstock. These will hold (2) 3-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ photos. The left photo mat is 3-1/4″ from the bottom and 3/4″ from the left edge. Place the other slightly to the right.
Step 7: Using foam squares, adhere the Christmas candy border along the bottom edge of the pine branches paper. Adhere the branches border directly to the paper, centered top to bottom in the white space, followed by adding the lights border with foam squares.
Step 8: Using the small end of the gold pen, add dots to the page around the lights & branches.
