When I scrapbook, it's really important to me to draw from all of my paper and embellishments so that my photos match. It makes such an aesthetically pleasing page to look at. If you go back to yesterday's page, you will notice I did just that and added the pop of color that was needed.
Today I drew from several resources in my craft room, and I am excited to share colorful Oranjested, Aruba with you!
The colors are so beautiful on the streets! There is a lot of ornate architecture throughout the city, and it's just a beautiful sight to behold.
All of the photos are printed 6" x 3." That allowed me to crop the unnecessary and focus on the beauty. No matter where you turn, there are lovely buildings just like this paying homage to their Dutch history. As you know, I don't scrap all the photos rather I pick just the best. In another post, I will tell you what I do with the photos I don't scrapbook.
Here is a list of the varied product I used:
Creative Memories Cardstock
Bright White: 12" x 12" Base
Soft Pink: 6-1/8" x 9-3/8" and it serves as the mat for the photos
Creative Memories Jazzberry Paper
Pink dots paper is cut to 11" x 11" and is adhered to the center of the page
Creative Memories Butterscotch Paper
Yellow sun paper is 5-3/4" x 5-3/4," and it was cut in half diagonally
Creative Memories Something Blue Vellum
Vellum is cut to 6-1/4" x 6-1/4" and cut in half diagonally.
Now adhere yellow sun paper to the vellum and add to the sides of the page. The points of the diagonals should be right at 6." Place the photo mat in the center of the page, adhering with foam adhesive. Tuck embellishments as desired and add gems.
PinkFresh Sunshine on My Mind Ephemera and Journaling Bits
I hope you'll join me every day during the month of November for a new page and the instructions to go with it!
With gratitude,
Brenda
